Wareform 1.0 for iPhone · iOS 17 or later
Need a person? Email keatonjware@gmail.com. Include your iPhone model and iOS version, and — if something looked wrong on screen — a screenshot. Wareform is made by one person, so replies usually take a day or two.
Getting started
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up. Open the app, answer a few questions about yourself so it can set your calorie and macro targets, and you're in. You can change every one of those answers later in Settings.
How do I get my data on my other devices?
Sign in to iCloud on both, with iCloud Drive on. Wareform syncs through your own private iCloud database automatically. Settings › About shows whether sync is active — if it reads Local only, iCloud wasn't reachable when the app started, and your data is safe on the device in the meantime.
Training
How do generated plans work?
Describe what you're training for in your own words — "get stronger on squat and bench while keeping some size", "first half marathon in twelve weeks" — and Wareform writes the program: the split, the exercises, rep ranges, rest, and a week-by-week progression. Generation needs an internet connection and takes about twenty seconds.
Can I write my own plan instead?
Yes. Training › + › Build My Own lets you type your own sessions, either as a repeating week or against specific dates, and add exercises to each. You can also edit any generated plan — add, remove, or reorder exercises, and change sets, reps, and rest.
Where do my logged sets go?
Training › Lifting › Session history. Every finished session is there, newest first; tap one to see the exercises and every set you logged.
My run didn't track the full distance
Check Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Wareform is set to While Using the App, and that Precise Location is on. Wareform keeps recording with the screen locked during an active run, but iOS will stop it if location access is set to Never or Ask Next Time. GPS also needs a clear view of the sky — indoor treadmill runs won't register distance.
Nutrition
A food I searched for isn't there
Wareform searches three databases at once — Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, and FatSecret — but no database has everything, especially local or restaurant food. Use Manual in the search screen to enter the numbers off the label, or photograph the plate and let the AI estimate it. Anything you enter by hand can be saved to My Meals and re-logged in one tap afterwards.
The photo estimate looks wrong
It's an estimate, and it's most accurate when the shot shows the whole plate from above with something for scale in frame — a fork, a hand, a standard dinner plate. Adding a hint like "about 250 g of rice" before you tap Identify improves it a lot. Every value is editable on the confirm screen before you log it, so correct anything that looks off.
Why did my calorie target change?
If you weigh in regularly and log your food, Wareform compares your weight trend against what you've actually eaten to estimate your real maintenance calories, then suggests a target from that. It only ever suggests — the new number appears on the Weight card with an Apply button, and nothing changes unless you tap it. You can always set targets yourself in Settings.
Where does the food data come from?
Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, and FatSecret. Serving sizes and macros come from those sources as published, so occasionally a product entry is incomplete or wrong. Correct it on the confirm screen before logging.
Apple Health
What does Wareform read and write?
With your permission it writes finished workouts and runs, meals as dietary energy, water, and weigh-ins; and reads body weight so a measurement from your scale keeps your trend current. Turn it on in Settings › Apple Health.
I turned it on but nothing is syncing
iOS asks for each data type separately, and declining one is easy to miss. Open Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Wareform and check the categories are on. Wareform will tell you if it was denied everything, but it can't see which individual types you allowed — Apple deliberately hides that.
Notifications
I'm not getting reminders
Check Settings › Notifications › Wareform is allowed. Wareform asks once, when you finish setup or switch a reminder on; if you declined then, iOS won't ask again and you'll need to enable it there. Reminders skip anything you've already logged that day — a vitamin reminder won't fire if you've already ticked them off.
Privacy and your data
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app to remove the local copy, then remove the synced copy in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Wareform. We hold nothing on our side to delete — see the privacy policy for exactly what does and doesn't leave your phone.
Is my food diary sent anywhere?
No. Your diary, weight history, and training history stay in your own storage. Only the four AI features send anything, and only what you give them at the time — the photo, the description, or the goal you typed. They're listed individually in the privacy policy.
